Took So Long is the highly anticipated debut album from pianist Nat Adderley Jr. as a leader, and performing as a trio. Featuring a mix of standards and one original – the title track, Took So Long.
The album includes an upbeat cover of “Superstar,” in honor of the decades Nat served as the music director to Luther Vandross. The album features heartfelt performances from Adderley with rotating bassists Chris Berger and Belden Bullock, and drummers Tommy Campbell, Vince Ector, Dwayne Cook Broadnax and Steve Johns.
